Juneteenth Book Fair & Expo

June 19 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Reading and Writing are powerful tools that can eradicate illiteracy and the miseducation of Black History, Black Culture, and Black Social and Economic injustices.

For many years Black Authors have been the target of censorship, especially after the George Floyd protest. Because of the censorship, many black-authored books have been removed from community public libraries, as well as public school libraries.

It is imperative that we keep our History alive, relevant, and deeply rooted in the minds of our youth to firmly understand that “WE MATTER”.

Let’s join together to stamp out “Black History Illiteracy” by building a home library that is filled with books that can help us understand our heritage and appreciate how Black people’s experiences and motivations help shape America

Overall, the Juneteenth Book Fair and Expo is an enriching experience that highlights Black excellence, providing a space for community, learning, and celebration.
