Every 3rd Saturday each month. Enhance your creative writing skills and connect with other writers during our monthly program, which features all genres, including fiction, nonfiction, poetry, and screening writing. Prompts and feedback will be given, and group discussions will help authors expand their talents. No prior experience is required.
Instructor: Charles Hines
Charles Hines (Thee Charles Hines if you’re being accurate) is a nationally recognized Spoken Word Poet, teaching artist, and performer.
Earning his Bachelor of Arts in English: Creative Writing, Charles has been doing poetry professionally for ten years.
He is the Slam Madness 2023 second place runner up and the Southern Fried Poetry Slam 2023 third ranked indie poet.
Currently, he is part of the Growhouse Tampa arts collective where he hosts their monthly open mic and helps curate writing workshops.
He has also recently joined the board of Found Family Collective which works to create artistic spaces for the LGBTQ+ community.
Just for fun, he’s also self-published two poetry books, available on Amazon.com.
