Survival Guide for Women Artists Workshop Series

Woman Made Gallery is proud to announce our Spring virtual workshop series for emerging artists, “Survival Guide for Women Artists.” The workshop series will span 4 months with 4 different workshops. Sign up for one, two, or even all four of the workshops; choose the workshop(s) that interest you and will help your art practice grow!

All workshops will be co-taught by WMG staff members Veronica Clements and Corinne Pompéy. The series will be held via Zoom and will feature 60 minutes of interactive lecture and 30 minutes for Q+A.

This workshop series is open to all emerging women, non-binary, and femme-identifying artists that are interested in taking their career to the next level. Whether you’re a painter, sculptor, photographer, or work in any other medium, this series is tailored to your needs.

Workshop 4: Instagram 101

We will focus on:

  • Going Live and creating reels on Instagram
  • Creating a professional Instagram account

Hosted by Veronica Clements & Corinne Pompéy

Veronica Clements received her BFA in Painting & Art History from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her MS in Leadership for Creative Enterprises from Northwestern University. She is the Chair of the Young Women’s Caucus for Art and the social media manager, a board member, and a curator for the Chicago Women’s Caucus for Art. Veronica is a realism oil painter focusing on representing girlhood and femininity using a combination of 17th-century Dutch and modern digital iconography. Clements was a Visual Art & Videography teacher at Elgin Academy for five years before joining the team at Woman Made Gallery as our Marketing & Development Coordinator.

Corinne Pompéy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Photography from Columbia College Chicago and is currently a freelance photographer. As the the Co-Founder and curator of the For Women, by Women Art Gallery on Columbia’s campus, Corinne is passionate about creating spaces to support women artists in their journey to success. Corinne’s work ranges from dynamic fashion photography with a focus on tone and light to using a large format 4×5 camera for fine art self portraiture that explores her experience with femininity, womanhood, and body
