Let’s go outside and get creative! This class was designed with beginners in mind, and also experienced artists in need of a new perspective when approaching drawing/sketching from life and in a public or outdoor setting. The best inspiration can come from the world around us. Learn how to find an interesting composition in a public space, and the tips for achieving a successful sketch period.
Please note! Attendees will be on foot for this workshop, meeting at Arts Warehouse then walking to a nearby outdoor space, coffee shop, etc. to draw!
What to bring: Students must bring their prefered sketchbook or drawing pad, and a size that they enjoy working in and don’t mind carrying.
*Weather – if weather is poor, the workshop will take place indoors at AW moving around the building.

Instructor Biography
Neal Hanowitz, a New York City native has taught a variety of media including painting, sculpture, film animation, and printmaking for the past 27 years. Formal studies at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Art and Pratt Institute set a lifetime of art making into motion. He has lived, taught and exhibited in The United States, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, and most recently Myanmar. Now retired and living with his wife, Audrey in Delray Beach, he is slowly becoming immersed in the South Florida arts community.
